If I had a penny for my thoughts I'd be a millionaire. but I don't so I rely on Anonymous trust in strangers. Anonymous Trust is the most risky kind of thing you can be gettin into. but then, you only live the once and my grandfather is in the hospital dying and, well, he's a bit racist from his upbringing but he's still got to be a trustin them nurses.

Materialism versus the spiritual creation of reality by the conscience? Neither.

Reality is a product of the relationships you have. A sum of individuals. A multiplication of groups. The unconscious unconsidered friends and enemies and indifferents.

Communications is what you do to relate, be it peeing on a tree, loving the wife or patting the dog on the head.

words and symbols are a pretty fucking crazy thing.

we've already acheived a collective consciousness really. The issue of some kind of second coming grand alliance new age bullshit is moot new age bullshit... ancient history clinging to.

Yes we surely got the probelms of unity. Yes this is an unrealised consicousness - for certain.

but in truth we've got it here with computers in easy examples. not only is the computer beyond the capabilities of an individual to create it... I can't make a computer! But I could also not make a car or a bike by myself even. I could never get it together on an alien planet to refine the metal and extract the rubber and throw it all together. But I do know how to make a bicycle here in this world for sure. I have the knowledge of the general underlying concepts so I don't need to make rubber, I buy the tires and know what to do with them...

but a computer, no, I don't know how this magic box works. Sure at a certain level technology becomes indistinguishable from the magic trick. but then, this is more. It is not even possible for a human to understand the workings of a computer. Not one individual. There is no way we could understand this thing before us.

I know lots about computers myself. I know lots of general theories that come together to a general understanding of what this box is. I know how they manufacture the microchips. I know how a bunch of transistors can be grouped into a counting unit that can then be combined into a LOGIC chip. I know the background of DOS and hardware and all the common computer workings that your layman gets into, networking since before the www never used it but I knew the name MOSAIC. But there is no fucking way I know what the magic in this box is and there is no way you ever will either. This thing takes hundreds of minds to even understand it. You need thousands and thousands more to get to the physical technology making stage. Software/Hardware.

And all of our society is almost just as complex. Computers are different because they rigidly impose standards of organisation of people that are common.... But all our stuff is like that. This is culture. This is THE culture 6 or 7 [I don't know] BILLIONS strong. We don't have any fucking idea what we are up to but we;re in it together nonetheless.

Do you know what competition is? That is when you share an agreement about a certain set of rules. That is when you agree to play a game. You must first cooperate if you want to compete. you need to agree at minimum on what you are fighting over.

Competition for survival is a sick, marvellous thing. We kill for the game. Yet we trust each other enough to play a life and death game. We don't just end the realtionship and leave.

Property is for the proper. Relationships are real?
